Social Support Groups
As well as empowering the people we support to follow their individual interests and pursuits within their own communities, we also organise and run a number of our own Social Support Groups to enable individuals to feel part of the wider Inspire family.
Our Supper Club, held once a month, is free for any of the people that Inspire supports and their staff members to attend. The event provides attendees with the opportunity to enjoy a social gathering and freshly prepared two course meal - and of course the traditional game of bingo!
Our monthly Sunday Sessions offer the chance for the people we support to enjoy a range of different activities, from sensory discos and arts and crafts to movie screenings and pamper sessions and the opportunity to catch-up with friends from other Inspire services.
We also facilitate a number of well-attended Positive People Social Groups, allowing the people we support to plan fun events and activities within their local communities. To date, groups have organised the annual Inspire Summer BBQ, trips to the Grampian Transport Museum and Deep Sea World and a visit to Easter Anguston Farm.
All of these activities are only possible thanks to the kind support of our sponsors and partners.
