Community Support/Activities

Our self-advocacy and social groups make sure the people we support are always heard whilst developing their social skills

Community Support/Activities

At Inspire we want to encourage the people we support to develop social skills, play a role in their local community and ensure their voices are heard across the organisation.

We organise and run a number of our own social activities and support people to explore their own areas of interest and attend relevant groups and events in their local communities.

We facilitate two well-attended self-advocacy groups that allow the people we support to have a real voice within the organisation. These are our:

  • Positive People Social Groups which work to plan events and activities;
  • Positive People Improvement Council which is a “speaking up” group.
