Sparkles Ball

The days may be getting shorter, and the leaves are all changing colours, and falling from the trees, but that’s not stopped the people we support at Inspire from having yet another busy month!

At St James’s Court Gavin has enjoyed making a steak pie and apple pastries, Joyce got crafty and made a very cute and colourful felt puffin, and everyone made the most of the good weather and enjoyed a fire pit karaoke in the garden.

Everyone at Inverurie also enjoyed a night of Hocus Pocus fun at their film night, which went down a treat.

In Peterhead, George and Harry met up for a game of bingo and a pint at Wetherspoons, while Clunas was busy at work at the Men’s Shed. Everyone at Peterhead was also busy getting ready decorating for Halloween.

Our October Supper Club in Aberdeen was another huge success at Cafe Ahoy. Lots of people came from lots of our services, and loved the fish and chips, followed by Cranachan!

Our newly named Chin WAGS that meet every Wednesday in Aberdeen have enjoyed lots of different activities, from making tattie soup, lots of autumn themed crafting, scavenger hunts and having fun on the Wii with Just Dance. Much hilarity was had turning everyone in Mummy’s the other week and everyone got into the Halloween mood by carving pumpkins, which I am sure you will all agree look very cool.

But the biggest highlight of October has to be our annual Sparkles Ball. It was lovely to see everyone we support get together in person for the first time since the pandemic and enjoy a fun filled night of dancing and catching up with each other. The dance floor was busy the entire evening - well except when everyone was eating!

Some people we support even got to meet new friends they had made over zoom for the first time in person. It really was quite an emotional night and everyone was totally buzzing!!
