This year is certainly flying by! It’s been so lovely to see so much sunshine which has meant the people we support can enjoy being out and about lots more.

Shelby and Justyna from Angus have been continuing to enjoy trying out some tasty yet healthy eating recipes recently. It has been great working with them via Zoom to create some tasty and nutritious dishes but also seeing their confidence and cooking skills growing every week.

The girls are always prepared and getting involved with choosing the recipes - shopping for ingredients beforehand. As soon as the Zoom starts, they have their ingredients and anything needed ready and prepped. They are doing all of the cooking and the cleaning up afterwards as well as enjoying their tasty creations. I've seen such a difference in a short space of time.

The Aberdeen Supper Clubs have been back in full swing for a few months now. It was lovely for me to get to take the lead with one recently. Everyone had a great time catching up, enjoying the yummy macaroni and cheese as well as the sticky toffee pudding, and the bingo was great fun too.

I also got to spend some time recently with the people we support at our Inspire By... shop in Stonehaven. The people we support there were out and about in the local community helping to promote that we were recruiting for staff. They put lots of posters up and leaflets in a variety of locations throughout the town. We also had great fun taking a walk down by the beach later that day catching balls in nets and playing with the parachute despite it being a little windy!

Let’s hope the sun continues to shine in the coming months.
